CME Change for Upcoming Renewals: For the next two renewals for both MD and DO physicians, each license holder will be required to take two of the required 30 hours via a Board-approved course on responsible opioid prescription. Physicians who do not hold a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration number to prescribe controlled substances are exempted under the rules.

List of Board-Approved Courses

Providers who wish to put on a Board-approved course must submit an application to the Medical Examining Board based on the guidelines approved by the Board. Individual license holders should not submit applications for courses that they had previously taken. Only ACCME-accredited CME providers should be submitting applications to the department.
